Foot Pain Relief
Plantar fasciitis is one of the most debilitating pain one can experience. The pain is usually on the inside of the foot, under the heel. Usually the patient feels the pain worse in the morning, when the patient is getting out of bed. A lot of times this issue is accompanied by hyperpronation (flat foot).
Plantar fasciitis is known for causing severe heel pain. This pain is caused by inflammation of the thick band of tissue that connects the bottom of the foot to the heel bone and toes called the “plantar fascia.” Most individuals experience stabbing pain when standing for long periods of time, or after exercise.
There are factors that can contribute to plantar fasciitis such as obesity, taking part in exercises that cause stress to the foot, and careers that require long periods of standing or walking on tough surfaces. If not treated, the pain could interfere with your daily life.
Seldomly, you will also see a foot that has a high arch, where the foot becomes very rigid and transfers all the stress on the plantar fascia. Through chiropractic adjustments, orthotics and myofascial release techniques, we are able to correct and resolve the issue. Another issue that we see a lot of, is called Cuboid Syndrome. This syndrome is usually described as pain that is on the lateral (outside) part of the foot.
Many times when the patient is walking and tries to push off the ground he/she will experience discomfort when walking. We have 26 bones in our feet, and when one of those bones is not properly aligned, pain presents itself on the lateral (outside) part of the foot. With chiropractic adjustment, we are able to restore the proper relationship and movement to the bones of the feet, therefore decreasing the pain one expriences with this condition.

How Can a Chiropractor Help with Plantar Fasciitis?
A chiropractor who is knowledgeable in orthotics can help ease the pain caused by plantar fasciitis. Chiropractors can use adjustments to decrease the stress on your ligaments, including those in your feet. They can also help ease pain in other parts of the body stemming from changes made in your gait to accommodate your foot pain.
Dr. Khlebopros understands that back pain and other symptoms can arise from your feet. Your feet are the foundation of the rest of your body. When in pain, your body follows suit. That’s why he also specializes in orthotic care, treating your feet by using a wide range of non-invasive methods.
